Not my will, but Thy will. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss Daniel 3:17, and the remarkable faith of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego as they face the fiery furnace. Saying to the king, “if it be so", our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from fiery furnace. The word if, is sometimes misconstrued as doubt; but rather, this is extreme faith in God. The three boys knew, “God is able”, but rather, is it God’s will and timing to spare them; that was the question. What a picture of faith we see here. As Christians, we can trust, one hundred percent, God is able to do all things. We must never lose sight of the reality of God in the world today.
