REST AND REFRESHING— Tonight Pastor Gabriel Swaggart preaches from Isaiah 28:10-12. He encourages us, as believers, to seek the second work of the Holy Spirit. We need the infilling of the Holy Spirit for power. At salvation, we are baptized into Christ, and the Holy Spirit comes into our lives for regeneration. As a born again believer, we can ask the Lord to baptize us in the Holy Spirit; where we will receive the evidence of speaking in other tongues. This second work gives us power to do the work of the Lord until He comes. We need a power that’s greater than the darkness we face in this world. In Acts chapter one, Jesus commanded His disciples to not do anything until they were filled with power from on high. If that was a command from Christ two thousand years ago, it’s a command for the church today.
