False doctrine destroys the work of God. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss how sitting in a church under false doctrine will not leave a person unaffected. The believer will be negatively affected. This is Satan’s greatest weapon, promoting his lies in the church. We must know, sin will always magnify and get worse; but, when the believer puts his faith in Christ and Him crucified alone, the Holy Spirit will work on our behalf to help us walk a victorious Christian life. Brother Larson adds that all men who reject the truth will experience the wrath of God as sin will take a dominating form; when this happens, we see the long-suffering of God, as His desire would be that all would receive Him as Lord and Savior. The gospel should continually advance us as we grow more and more in the nature and character of God.
