On the day of Pentecost, Peter preached salvation to the people, under the power of the Holy Spirit. Today on The Message of the Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and the panel continue their discussion on the two different gifts of tongues; one given to the body accompanied with interpretation, the other a prayer language of tongues for the individual believer who asks to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. Tongues is the initial physical evidence of a person receiving the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Brother Larson says all too often many preachers have stepped away from the supernatural. Brother Watts says unfortunately many Pentecostal preachers will back away from the supernatural for the sake of church growth; when in fact, the supernatural, through the gifts of God, is truly how a church should grow by the power of the Holy Spirit.
