If it says therefore, find out what it’s there for. Tonight at Family Worship Center, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Hebrews 2:1-2, discussing earnestly contending for the faith. The believer must take heed to the gospel, hear it, and obey it. In Egypt, when the Jew was obedient by applying the blood of the lamb to their doorposts, they were delivered from their bondage. That blood represented the blood of Jesus Christ who would give His life on Calvary’s Cross; a perfect sacrifice that would once and for all deliver the repentant sinner and guarantee eternity in heaven when our faith remains anchored in Him. Scripture reminds us, if the law brings forth righteousness, then Christ died in vain. Jesus Christ is our New Covenant; He died for the sins of all mankind. If you need victory over sin, only believe.
