Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and the panel discuss what happens when a person rejects what God has revealed in His Word. The Apostle Paul says all men are guilty until they accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. A rejection of Christ starts a downward spiral. Some are saved and choose to leave the truth, others are not but they know of God, and they glorified Him not. The bible refers to those who were not thankful and became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Many in society are pulled to sexual sin, filled with covetousness, envy, murder, debate, and deceit. The sin is, reject what God has shown, and God turns a person over; when we see massive numbers of people turned over to an inward design that is contrary to God, sin is just the symptom. The root problem is rejecting God, and sin in the heart. It is dominating and coming to the fore; it is now so common in so many people that we’re calling it normal. Brother Swaggart says it’s not normal. None of it is normal; it should be an indictment to the heart of man. Sin is abnormal in every capacity. Repent, believe, and receive; today is the day of salvation.
