Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel study Romans chapter six discussing the power of a sin nature. God does not have a penance method for a believer with sin in their life. When we sin, we must admit it before God and ask for His mercy and grace. God can do so much with a contrite heart. There is only one way to overcome sin. God’s way is to anchor our faith in the finished work of Christ. When we ask for His forgiveness, it will be given, and then we stand fast in our faith, which gives the Holy Spirit the leeway to work on our behalf and give us victory over all sin.
