Every Christian needs to let go of their pride and come to the Lord in humility. Daniel said of himself that he longed to be even closer to the Lord. He knew he had no strength within and that he saw no good in his flesh as he envisioned the Lord. He realized it’s only because of the Lord that he was anything at all. As believers we must realize that we are nothing in and of ourselves, and who we can be when we have our faith anchored in Christ and His finished work is because of His glory and not our own.
