What is the object of your faith? Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the governments of law and grace. In Christ, we are under a New Covenant that is not like the Old Covenant. Now, the Holy Spirit will move in the believer; we are freed from the first covenant, and now we under the grace of God because we believe on the finished work of Christ alone. At salvation, we are dead to the law by the body of Christ. We are bound to the system of faith in Christ crucified. We are no longer servants of sin, but are slaves to righteousness. The New Covenant, Jesus Christ, is the ways and means to live pleasing to God and meet all requirements of the law, because we are now in Christ.
