All men are guilty before God, and cannot justify what they do, but only by the acceptance of Christ their Savior. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss Verse 29, inward change at salvation and the change that happens when we are born again. We can truly praise God when we truly trust God and not man’s religion. The circumcision of the heart is how God is dealing with us, where in the Old Covenant the physical circumcision found the Jew obedient to the law. But now we must be obedient to the faith, and that is to what Christ did on the Cross. At the second coming, the Jews will accept Christ, as they should have. Here, Paul is writing to the born again Jew, so they no its a heart issue that makes us right with God and keeping the law outwardly can’t accomplish it. Whether Jew or Gentile, we must be in Christ. We are a chosen people. There is a specific call on Israel to be the head of all nations, but everyone who accepts Christ with Israel is the chosen of God.
