We are saved from wrath, through Him. Doubting the Word of God, and that the scripture is not inspired, will only lead to the infiltration of false doctrine in our hearts and lives. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Romans 5:9, discussing what happens when man represses the truth. Scripture says, we were saved, and we shall continue being saved from wrath when we believe God’s truth. Here, the Apostle Paul is introducing the idea that justification establishes, and maintains, our relationship with God. Our status of justification will allow us to travel through some failures as our faith holds to the finished work of Christ. This faith is anchored in Him; our failures cannot change our status. Our future as believers will continue when we keep our faith in Him and repent of sin as we are "being saved" in this life. It is an ongoing, never-ending process; in our growth process we will stumble. Brother Larson says, our justification will not allow us to stay in sin, we can get back up. God forgives us when He sees our true repentance. Sin shall not have dominion over us.
