Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the Old Testament story, of Moses going before Pharaoh, saying let my people go. Pharaoh didn’t respond immediately; there was a process, a fight if you will. This fight is similar to our fight as believers. When we are born again, and the weeds of our past start trying to grow again on our Christian landscape, we must know to keep our faith anchored in Christ crucified. We have memories of our past, and sometimes a temptation that goes with the memory of who we once were. But Jesus said, come unto me all you that labor, and I will give you rest; instantaneous rest, and then He said, take my yoke upon you and learn of me for I am meek and lowly and you shall find rest for your soul, your will, your mind, and your emotion. This is where we stand, and fight from a resting position, in the finished work of Christ, where He won all our battles on the Cross.
