The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. Today on A Study In The Word, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Proverbs 1:7, teaching on the convicting power of the Holy Spirit, as it can cut through all sin and rebellion. While there may be pleasure in sin for a season, it then quickly deteriorates into bondage. Brother Larson says when man finds he can’t stop his sin; it becomes a hell on earth. But God made a way for all sinful man to repent and be set free; no matter the sin, for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes on Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
