TELL ME MORE ABOUT HIM- Tonight at Crossfire, Pastor Tanner Kratzer preaches on Genesis 24:58-61. Here we find Abraham sending Eleazar to go and find Isaac a wife; he finds Rebekah. Abraham is a type of the Father, God the Father. Isaac is a type of Jesus Christ, and the servant, and Eleazar is a type of the Holy Spirit. Rebekah is a type of the church, or us as believers. Brother Kratzer says we need to make this gospel personal as Rebekah did. The Holy Spirit, at some point, has come to us and said will you go? If we responded with a yes, then we are saved. In this story, Rebekah says yes, and leaves everything behind. She leaves her family and friends behind; everything that she once knew, because now, she is going to go be with her husband. When you said yes to Jesus, everything that you were before, everything that you were affiliated with, had to be left behind to follow Him.
