WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU?- Tonight at Crossfire, Pastor Paris Ragan reads Matthew 6:19-24, teaching on how we cannot serve two masters. As a believer, we must ask ourselves what is the treasure filling our heart? There are certain spiritual attitudes that need to dominate the heart and the life of the believer. The Beatitudes aren’t attitudes that we are seeking to acquire in this life. These are attitudes that are present within every born again believer. It’s what we should look like. It’s how we should walk. It’s how we should talk. It’s how we should act. It’s how we should speak. These attitudes should be the dominating principles, the dominating character that’s in our hearts and in our lives. This does not mean perfection, for we all have room to grow; but this does not give us an excuse or license to sin. Jesus established the principles of the New Covenant, which are higher than the principles of the Old Covenant. It’s a higher standard because this covenant is built upon a better promise. Jesus Christ and Him crucified is the New Covenant.
