Today on The Generation of The Cross, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart is joined by JSBC Professor Dr. David Watts. The two discuss the affordability of Jimmy Swaggart Bible College as they look at a recent survey showing the decline of undergraduates in state universities and community colleges in the United States. The numbers show that admissions have dropped by some 1.2 million students over the last two years; basing stats on the Coronavirus pandemic and a decline in the birthrate. Pastor Gabe says the study goes on to say that there is an increase, however, in the number of students entering conservative, religious colleges. The overall average cost, per academic year at an in-state school is $9,300, with nearly $27,000 per year at out-of-state institutions. Brother Gabe compares these numbers to JSBC, which is $6,000 per academic year; not only is it more affordable, but it is a rarity to find a conservative, Christian college that is Pentecostal and rooted in the Message of the Cross.
