UNITY IN THE BODY OF CHRIST- Today on The Generation of The Cross, Pastor Gabriel Swaggart is joined by Crossfire Associate Pastor Shaun Murphy, and JSBC Professor Dr. David Watts reading from Ephesians 4:3. Pastor Gabe addresses Spirit led unity in the body of Christ. There is controversy within the message of the Cross community over unity. This is not structural unity or denominational unity, but it’s a unity of everyone that’s in Christ. God has already created the unity by his Spirit. As believers we must recognize the unity, and endeavor to keep the unity that God has established. Pastor Gabe says sometimes we take that and we kick against denominational or structural unity, and then our own wanting to be against denominations develops our own tribe where we feel like we alone have it right. Pastor Gabe says for those in the message of the cross community who don’t like seeing our unity with the Church of God, the Assemblies of God, or the Southern Baptist, they are failing to see God is opening doors for the truth of the message to go out through this unity; and we can be sure, the message is not going to be compromised in the process, but the gospel must go forth.
