The truest form of Judaism is Christianity. Today on The Generation Of The Cross, Crossfire Youth Pastor Paris Ragan is joined by Associate Pastor Shaun Murphy as they read Luke 2:22-40 looking at the birth and life of our Lord and Savior. This passage in Luke connects Jesus to ancient Israel; to the law, history, and her traditions. This theme is carried on through Luke and through the Book of Acts. We see through prophecy that there will be an abandonment of the Old Covenant and an embracing of the new. This was a prophesied promise in the Old, and it came true in the presence of Jesus Christ. We see this proclamation from birth through every aspect of Christ’s life. Jesus bridged the two Covenants of God. Jesus came and died, fulfilling the Old Covenant in totality. He is the final revelation of God’s Word. He is a teacher of the new, and embodiment of salvation. In all expression, Christ is the New Covenant.
