We are not what we thought we were, until we know who we are in Christ. Today Vietnam Purple Heart recipient Dave Roever shares his powerful testimony of how God brought him through the war where he served as a Navy Brown Water Black Beret; he survived a grenade being shot by enemy gunfire out of his hand as he was preparing to throw it. He lost fifty percent of his skin in the blast and the right side of his head and face. Brother Roever says God can truly comfort us no matter how bad our trials and tribulations may be. Through his lifetime of healing and some 60 painful surgeries, he is still realizing everyday that greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. Brother Roever just endured the pain of losing his high school sweetheart to COVID; he said it was a pain like none he’s ever known. But he reminds us that there is no hope in the darkness, and we must ever look to the light and share the light of Christ with others. He says when life gets so painful, and we want to lay down and give up, we must get up off of our stretcher and get back on our horse of hope because we’ve got a job to do in getting this Gospel of hope out to a lost, hurt, and dying world.
