The sin nature is our number one enemy. When every human being is born, he or she is born at enmity with God, as the heart is corrupt because of the fall of Adam and Eve. Today on The Message of The Cross, Pastor Loren Larson and panel explain the sin nature reading in Romans chapters five and six. All too often, the believer will cast blame for their sinful habits onto demon spirits. Pastor Paris reminds us, demon spirits don’t cause us to sin. They can influence us, but we are born with a bent, deep inside us, that is intrinsically evil, which is the sin nature. Only faith, in the finished work of Christ can unplug the sin nature within, which then allows the Holy Spirit to work on our behalf to transform us into the image of Christ.
