We are dead to the law by the body of Christ. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Galatians 3:17, discussing the different sects of Judaism that all refer to law keeping in some way. The church today is wrongly trying to embrace concepts from the Old Covenant Law; this movement is dangerous. In Christ, under the New Covenant, the Law is written on our hearts and minds. We can learn from the old, but we are not to try and keep it as if it is the believer’s responsibility. In Christ, we keep the law in totality because we believe on Christ who fulfilled it. The only way to honor God is to believe on Christ alone; nothing in my hand I bring, only to the Cross I cling.
