The believer is to be conformed into the image of Christ; this can only be done when one’s faith is anchored solely in Christ's finished work on Calvary’s Cross. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the doctrine of the Second Coming and what is in store for those who believe on Christ and those who don’t. Addressing the condition of the modern church, we see a lot of activity going on in the name of Jesus. Brother Larson says those activities are, too often times, wrongly the focus in the church. When the wrong method of change is pushed, Christians will give up because the change does not come. Sin must not be ignored, but repented of. The Christian's focus must be on the finished work of Christ, then and only then, will the power of the Holy Spirit come in and transform us into what God wants us to be. Brother Swaggart reminds us the cause for Calvary was sin; Christ died for all sinful man who call on His name.
