Today on The Message of the Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss where the believer can find victory over the world, the flesh, and the devil. The believer must keep their faith anchored in the Cross of Christ, then the Holy Spirit will go to work on any strongholds in the life of the Christian. It is not God’s will for the believer to struggle with sin with a constant fail and repent cycle. In Christ, we have progressive sanctification until we see glory; Brother Joseph encourages us that what we received at salvation is always there, no matter the failure, our position in Christ is the same. Keeping our eyes on Christ will result in the Lord bringing our fallen condition up to our position in Christ. We need to quit trying, by self efforts, to do what Jesus Christ already accomplished at Calvary’s Cross.
