Man can only be under law or grace. Today on The Message of The Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel read Galatians 3:10 discussing how there is no justification under the law because man cannot perfectly keep the whole law. Any man who thinks they can keep the law or tries to keep it by works of the flesh will find themselves under a curse.
Brother Swaggart says God will overlook a believer's ignorance of their works for a while, but at some point He will make it clear that we cannot work our way out of a sin problem. No list of good works will get some one into heaven, and no good works will give an already saved person victory over sin. All this equates to the law of old, which frustrates the grace of God. Jesus Christ fulfilled all law when He died on Calvary’s Cross. The moment our faith shifts to something else for victory, we are opening a door for a curse to steal our blessings that can only come when we are anchored in Christ. When our faith is correct, grace will flow, and works will have their place.
