I’M NOT LEAVING WITHOUT YOU- We need determination in the body of Christ. Today at Family Camp, Pastor Shaun Murphy preaches from 2 Kings 4:25-30. He says we need to know where we are going, to get, what we need; the Shunammite woman in this story knew where to go to get what she needed. She had been barren, but because of her faith, God blessed her with a miracle child. As the child became ill and died, she sought for Elisha, a type of Christ; he would have the answer. Israel was lost in idolatry, and Elisha’s ministry was a wake up call to the nation in spiritual decay. Elisha’s ministry was one of proclamation; there is someone coming. The baby lives. Jesus Christ’s death brings life. We need to get to Him and live.
