Today on The Message of the Cross, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and panel discuss the internal work of the Holy Spirit, which can only occur when the believer anchors their faith solely in the finished work of Christ on Calvary’s Cross. Sanctification begins at salvation and continues in our lives as we walk out what Christ has already accomplished. In Galatians 5:5, we see as we through the Spirit, wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. It is a progressive work of the Spirit to bring us into spiritual maturity, which can only come by faith and not Pentecostal power. Pentecostal power cannot be held up under a weak and shifting foundation; faith has to be rooted in Christ’s finished work, then this foundation will find the Holy Spirit working in our lives, resulting in victorious Christian living.
